Marco Pingitore
I was born on October 30, 1978, and I am based in Cosenza, Italy.
I serve as a Senior Psychologist at the Provincial Health Authority (ASP) of Cosenza – southern Italy. While I don’t come from a technical background, I am deeply passionate about digital health, specifically focusing on data interoperability and Artificial Intelligence. Throughout my career, I have authored numerous books and articles, and I have been a speaker at over 300 professional training events.

I’m Italy Ambassador of Community of HL7 Europe, HoF – Hospitals on FHIR.
I presented at HIMSS26 in Las Vegas (March 2026) on HL7 FHIR as the engine for national interoperability in the Italian NHS. My work consistently explores the convergence of FHIR-based data exchange, distributed ledger technologies, and AI-driven governance in public health systems.
If you’d like to stay updated on the FHIR landscape within Italy’s National Health Service, you can vist FHIR on Italy.
Meanwhile, openssn.marcopingitore.it is a blog entirely dedicated to the Italian National Health Service (Servizio Sanitario Nazionale)
